The search is over. These are the apps I have tested and used over the last few months that I find give the perfect balance to make my life easier.
The Tezza App
I’ve talked about this app previously in my favorites post but it really deserves its moment in this post too. At first I was only using the free version which is honestly all you would probably need. But for me the paid version gave me access to more filters and one that eventually became my go to (it’s Toasty incase you were curious). This app is essentially a better designed VSCO app. It’s really easy for people who don’t know a whole lot about photography to navigate and the preset filters that are included are a lot more “click and done” than VSCO. I haven’t played around with the video features because I didn’t pay for that upgrade but this could also be an all in one for IG story videos too!
UNUM
Planning the feed. I go back and forth with how important having a “cohesive feed” is in the grand scheme of things. I always come back to that people very very rarely look at your feed as a whole. Probably just when they follow you and then never again. BUT that doesn’t stop my OCD from still wanting it to look cohesive. That’s where UNUM comes in. I really don’t use this app for anything but planning my feed. It is a multipurpose tool with other features but it is my favorite and most user friendly to plan where your pictures should go! I’ve used other apps for this and this one just has the best aesthetic and it lets you just plan without pushing other features down your throat.
Unfold
I think anyone on social media has at least seen Unfold being used in IG stories. It is probably the “go-to” template app for IG stories. You can use a few template packs for free with the option to purchase packs with different themes. I personally purchased the DW1 pack and decided I would only use that pack to keep my IG stories consistent. I don’t use this app daily or every time I post a story but I like it for when I am either making text heavy stories or am doing a recap of the week.
Milkshake
This is a more recent discovery for me but it’s the one I have been screaming to everyone. STOP USING LINKTREE. It’s not cute. Milkshake is the solution to a customized link in your Instagram bio. It gives you the option to make multiple (swipe over) pages. You can make splash pages for your most recent post or a list of links for your most recent links. Like Linktree it is very manual but there is a lot more freedom of how it looks. Best parts: it’s free and user friendly.
WMU (Nikon)
Nothing groundbreaking here. This is the app that connects my camera to my phone. It makes it so much easier to take self portraits with my camera because it turns my phone into an external monitor. It also gives me the ability to save the photos straight to my phone after I take them!
What apps did I miss? Are there any apps that are easier to use or better? Let me know!
Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
